As the city rebuilds house after house is slowly reclaimed.  Sometimes the destruction was to severe that the original abode needed to be abolished and the debris completely removed from the premises.  Then work began anew to rebuild.  These efforts were hard work but showed our city’s soul.  Our commitment to not only rebuild our homes but the city’s spirit and even our very lives.

As each new dwelling is moved back into habitable status we should all rejoice.  Our city is coming back and we will survive.  When it’s your neighbors, the celebration takes on an even greater meaning.  Plan a housewarming party.  Simple housewarming gifts even if it’s just a bottle of wine or a loaf of French bread, or homemade pralines or a simple bouquet of flowers are all inexpensive gifts that can make your neighbor’s celebration just a bit sweeter.
